Westside Relay for Life brings funds, awareness to ACS
For the 11th year, Spencerport Central School District hosted The Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society on June 4.
More than 50 teams from the communities of Western Monroe County and the Spencerport Central School District participated in the Westside Relay for Life of Spencerport, which raised approximately $80,000 for the ACS.
“Relay for Life unites people from so many different walks of life to bring awareness to cancer and raise much needed funding to continue research and treatment,” said Daniel Milgate, Relay co-chairman and Spencerport’s Assistant Superintendent for Instruction. “We have to acknowledge all of the participants, survivors, volunteers, corporate sponsors, Spencerport Central’s Building & Grounds Department and donors to make this another successful event. We will definitely see you next year!”
