Meet the Board

Gary BrackenGary Bracken
President

Gary Bracken was elected to his first three-year term on the Board of Education in 2010 and elected to be President in 2016. He is also co-chair of the Monroe County School Boards Association (MCSBA) Information Exchange Committee and serves on the association’s Legislative, Steering, Presidents, and Executive Committees.

Mr. Bracken is retired from the U.S. military, having served for 23 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in political science from the University of Florida and works at Leidos as a senior corporate communications manager. Mr. Bracken and his wife, Jeanne, have four children in the Spencerport Schools, Sean and triplets Maggie, Ryan, and Ian


Jody Gillette

Jody Gillette
Vice President

Jody Gillette has served on the Board of Education since 2008, with two years as Vice President. She serves on several district sub-committees, including Technology Advisory, Audit, Legislative, Budget Focus Group, Health Advisory, and provides building/facilities representation.

Ms. Gillette holds a master's degree in Software Development & Management and a bachelor's degree in Accounting.  She works as a Software Engineering Manager at Vuzix Corporation, and is an Adjunct Professor in RIT's Information Sciences and Technologies department.

She has lived in Spencerport for almost 25 years with her two sons, Joshua and Jaden.


Kate CzKate Czarneckiarnecki


Kate 
Czarnecki served her first year on the Board of Education as the result of a special election to fill a vacant seat in 2016. In 2017, Ms. Czarnecki was elected to a full three-year term. She serves on several sub-committees that support the district as well as other districts throughout Monroe County.

Ms. Czarnecki is a 2000 graduate of Spencerport and has since earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and sociology. In 2014, she earned her MBA in Human Capital Management. She currently works as a legal assistant for the Diocese of Rochester. Ms. Czarnecki and her husband, Ed, are the parents of two girls, Genevieve and Charlotte. 


David Gibbardo

David Gibbardo

David Gibbardo is serving his second term on the Board of Education. Mr. Gibbardo serves on many sub-committees, including Professional Development and Budget Focus Group, and regularly attends the Sports Booster Club, Ranger Robotics and various clubs and activities.

While serving in the United States Air Force, Mr. Gibbardo received distinguished graduate honors from the Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) Academy. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in workforce education from Southern Illinois University, master’s degree in elementary education from Roberts Wesleyan College and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from SUNY Brockport.

Mr. Gibbardo was born and raised here, a lifelong resident and proud graduate of Spencerport. He is a longtime teacher for the Rochester City Schools and lives in Spencerport with his wife, Linda, and son, AJ.



Kevin Hutton

Kevin Hutton

Kevin Hutton is serving his second term on the Board of Education. He serves as the board liaison to William C. Munn Elementary School, as well as on several sub-committees including the board's Policy Committee, Facilities Task Force, Safe Schools Advisory Committee, and Budget Focus Group. In addition, Mr. Hutton has regularly attended the New York State School Boards Association Annual Conference.

Mr. Hutton holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Professional Studies from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He is the co-owner of Cornerstone Training Institute, an adult education provider serving the environmental remediation and construction industries.

Mr. Hutton and his wife, Chris, have lived in the district for 18 years, and have three children, all who have graduated from Spencerport: Alexandria (2014), Jake (2017), and Tricia (2017).


Greg Kincaid

Greg Kincaid

Greg Kincaid was elected to his first three-year term on the Board of Education in 2016. He serves on several sub-committees including Budget Focus Group, District Safety Committee and the District Wellness Committee.

Mr. Kincaid holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physical education from SUNY Brockport. He has worked as a physical education teacher and coach in the Churchville-Chili School District for the past 27 years.  Mr. Kincaid is a proud graduate of the Spencerport Central School District where he attended grades K-12. He and his wife, Chris, have three grown sons, Greg, Jeff and Mike who also graduated from Spencerport. 


Michael MiceliMr. Michael Miceli


Michael Miceli was elected to his first term on the Board of Education in May of 2015. He serves on Monroe County School Boards Association (MCSBA) Information Exchange Committee, and the Spencerport Schools audit and budget committees.

Mr. Miceli has been employed at Frontier Communications for over 20 years, holding a variety of positions in operations and engineering.

His educational background includes undergraduate degrees in business and technology, and a Masters of Science in Strategic Leadership (MBA).

Mr. Miceli and his wife Shelby, both Spencerport alumni, have two children attending Spencerport Schools.
