Superintendent Message: June 2018

Dear Community,

We wanted to publicly express our appreciation to our community, for the approval of the school budget for 2018-19, Capital Project 2018, and re-election of two school board members. With an 83% margin of approval, we certainly appreciate the support, and more importantly, value the ongoing trust and confidence you have in us to educate our students.

Your votes validate the financial decisions made to ensure long-term fiscal responsibility, minimal impact on our taxpayers, and our outstanding instructional programs.

As in years past, we have worked very hard to engage our stakeholders from all aspects of our community, including the Board of Education, administrators, staff, teachers, Budget Focus Group volunteers, district families and voters. This collaboration takes place throughout the year, not just during budget development itself, which helps us to build relationships, encourage open dialogue, and set district priorities.

Please accept our sincerest thanks for your time and support during the year and on May 15. We look forward to continuing our efforts to achieve educational excellence for our community’s children and collaborating with you each step of the way.

Sincerely,

Dan Milgate

Superintendent of Schools
