Etsler to step down as boys soccer coach
Tom EtslerTom Etsler, the all-time winningest boys soccer coach for the Spencerport Rangers, has decided to step down to spend time with his young family.

Etsler said, “I look forward to focusing on my family and being able to watch my two sons play their sports. I would like to thank all of my players, who I have been fortunate to coach, and their families. They have created some tremendous memories.  I also greatly appreciate the support I have received from the school, our athletic director, John Pelin, and the Spencerport community.”

Etsler has a  career record of 254-150-48; led the Rangers to 7 MCPSAC divisional titles; and 5 Section V  titles over his 24-year career.

He also has been named as a Coach of the Year 12 times.

Pelin said of Etsler's career, “Tom took over a very successful tradition-laden program, which is always very difficult. He was able to continue this success and improve our program by being not only an excellent teacher but also taking the time to develop tremendous relationships with his student-athletes. In addition, his teams are always well prepared.”
