Results of budget vote 2024-25

We want to thank our community of voters for approving the 2024-25 school budget, two propositions, and election of two board candidates. A total of 1,345 Spencerport School District residents voted this year, with the following results:

Proposition 1: the 2024-25 budget of $97,206,320 was approved by voters with 831 in favor (64%) and 470 opposed (36%)

Proposition 2: re-establish a capital reserve for building projects was approved by voters with 909 in favor (70%) and 390 opposed (30%)

Proposition 3: authorization to request 10% building aid for Energy Performance Contract was approved by voters with 1,031 in favor (78%) and 291 opposed (22%)

Voters elected two candidates to the Board of Education, and they are:

Jonathan Schallmo, receiving (599) votes; and
Michael Miceli, receiving (584).

The remaining three candidates received the following votes: Trisha Buscemi (495); Thomas J. Weaver (402); and Brandon Dries (355).

"I would like to extend my deep gratitude to our community of voters who cast their ballots today. Your unwavering support and trust will enable us to continue providing an exceptional education for students in an environment where they can thrive,” Superintendent Ty Zinkiewich said.
