We are genuinely grateful for the ongoing feedback and insights from our community, obtained through the Budget Focus Group, annual exit poll results, and engagement opportunities. 

Academic programs are consistently regarded as the top priority in our community. Therefore, it is essential to highlight student achievements and instructional programs to demonstrate your "return on investment."

 Two graduation designations
  • Seal of Civic Readiness – new designation implemented in 2023 for students to attain a high level of proficiency in terms of civic knowledge, civic skills, civic mindset, and civic experiences.
  •  Seal of Biliteracy – 40 students earned 41 New York State seals on their graduation diplomas in 2024. This designation means that students attained a high level of proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English.

Teams of third, fourth and fifth graders from each elementary school competed in the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival, applying Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) to learning about producing film using a Newbery-winning book.
 Clubs and activities

There are more than 130 clubs and activities at the elementary, middle and high school levels.



 National Honor Society
 & Junior Honor Society
  • Spencerport High School inducted 64 students into the 2025 National Honor Society. The NHS selects students who demonstrate the qualities of scholarship, leadership, character, and service.

  • Cosgrove Middle School inducted 59 students into the National Junior Honor Society. Students who demonstrate the same traits as NHS are selected to become members at the middle school level.

The Cosgrove Middle School’s Robotics Team 16673 has won the FLL championship in Buffalo and the Champions award at the Finger Lakes FLL Championship.

 Heritage Music Festival

Spencerport High School Music just earned top honors at the 2025 Heritage Music Festival in New York City.

Our ensembles won top groups amongst all the schools, two soloist awards, and overall champions sweepstakes award for highest scoring school at the festival. The Wind Ensemble achieved the highest score amongst all the instrumental groups across all divisions.
