Instruction Models

Spencerport Central School District will be moving to a hybrid model with an option for families to select 100% remote instruction.

Families have the opportunity to select the option that they prefer and we are asking for this Enrollment Intent Form to be completed by Thu., Aug. 6.

he Hybrid Instruction Model addresses the latest guidance from the NYS Department of Education, NYS Department of Health, and Monroe County Department of Health. In addition, this option offers a way to achieve in-person instruction for all students, while limiting numbers in classrooms, school buses, and hallways to the greatest extent possible for the health and well-being of all.

Hybrid definition
- Combination of remote and face-to-face instruction. In the context of the current pandemic, it reduces the number of students in the building by moving some of the course delivery online.

Implementation - Students will attend school approximately 40% of the scheduled time and engage in remote learning approximately 60% of the time. This approach ensures class sizes will be approximately half the size in order to maintain social distancing of 6 - 12 feet. Students and staff will be asked to wear masks when social distancing cannot be maintained.
