Security ThoughtExchange results 2024

We are deeply grateful for the participation of our staff and families, who offered feedback last June on our district’s safety and security measures. This insight will help us to better understand all perspectives, as well as inform future decisions related to our security program.

The results of the ThoughtExchange may be found in the attached document. 

Overall, the responses indicate that the visibility and presence of our Spencerport security team is appreciated. Contrasting suggestions include additional training opportunities, increased security near restrooms, updating communication devices, and installation of cameras in parking lots. We also noted specific concerns raised about student behaviors, particularly around vaping. 

Lastly, the feedback emphasized the importance of mental health resources and expressed appreciation to the district for our advocacy for this critical aspect of student well-being.
