Exploring mindfulness to navigate stress
Please join us on Thu. Oct. 17, at 6:30 in the high school’s Performing Arts Center for a presentation by Erica Ebert on "Exploring Mindfulness to Navigate Stress." This presentation will be focused on helping parents and guardians to use Mindfulness with their children to navigate the stress our children experience on a daily basis.

Stress is a response to pressure or threat. Under stress we may feel tense, nervous, or on edge. As a result, when you're nervous or stressed you might feel your heartbeat or breathing get faster, your palms get sweaty, or your knees get shaky. The stress response is also called the fight-or-flight-response. It's an automatic response that prepares us to deal with danger. However, living with chronic stress has a debilitating impact on our daily interactions and can lead to mental as well as physical illness. Join Erica Ebert, Instructional Specialist from the Webster Central School District, in exploring Mindfulness and the physiological and neurological impacts of stress. Learn ways to help your child use Mindfulness to navigate stressors in their daily lives.

Everyone is invited to attend this free presentation on on Oct. 17 at 6:30 PM in the High School’s PAC.
