NYS food commodities recall

New York State’s Office of General Services (OGS) notified Spencerport CSD’s Food Service Department Monday about an issue with its government food distributor’s freezer and cooler storage. OGS informed the district that a recent delivery of assorted items did not maintain the proper temperature in the food distributor’s freezer and cooler storage units. For Spencerport, the only item affected was pre-cooked, frozen chicken fajita strips.
Upon this notification, our district immediately removed the affected food items, per OGS’ instructions.
