Budget 2019-20

Welcome to the 2019-20 budget section of our website.

This year's vote will take place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at ONE location, District Office.

The 2019-20 budget proposal totals $82.5 million and projects a 1.57% tax rate increase.

The expenditure plan includes a:

  • projected tax rate* of $24.05 per $1,000 of assessed home value, which is a 37-cent increase from last year.  
  • tax levy of $38.1 million, an increase of 2.32%, which is less than the 2.33% maximum allowable tax levy with exclusions.
  • In addition to Proposition 1 (the budget), the community will vote on a second proposition to re-establish a classroom furniture and technology reserve with a $4 million maximum amount over five years.

1. Proposition 1:     
     • The 2019-20 Budget totaling $82,500,180
     Voter authorization to expend from:The 2013 Capital Reserve for Technology and Classroom Equipment the sum of $150,000 for a portion of the costs as set forth in the school district budget for the purchase of student desks, chairs, and other miscellaneous classroom furniture.

2. Proposition 2:
     Establish the Classroom Furniture and Technology Reserve. The 2019 fund is to re-establish the capital reserve for the purpose of acquiring and installing technology and classroom instruction equipment. The reserve has a maximum of $4 million over five years.

*The Board of Education sets the actual tax rate during the summer.
