2024 Capital Project Home

We’d like to thank our voters for approving the 2024 capital project and Energy Performance Contract referendum on Dec. 10.

We are pleased to report that both propositions passed, with a total of 1,078 residents casting ballots. The final results are as follows:

  • Proposition 1: the 2024 Capital Project
    • 612 in favor (56.8%)
    • 466 opposed (43.2%)
  • Proposition 2: EPC bond financing
    • 711 in favor (66.1%)
    • 365 opposed (33.9%)

“Our academic programs and extracurricular activities are second to none, and this approval means we will be able to improve our physical spaces to match instruction and opportunities,” Superintendent Ty Zinkiewich said. “We are grateful to our community, knowing the positive impact this will have on our students.”

We are excited to get started and will keep you informed on our progress.

The Cornerstone newsletter for November 2024, discussing the 2024 capital project proposal.

  • Established in 2023, a long-range planning task force comprised of parents/guardians, students, teachers, staff, and civic leaders attended a series of meetings to identify areas of priority for future capital projects. As you can imagine, the room was filled with visionaries, all with great perspectives, ideas, and shared interests toward bringing our schools into the 21st century and beyond.

As this task force was working on a vision, we distributed a Thought Exchange survey to our community last December and the feedback further guided the decisions outlined in the 2024 project.

  • Project goals identified by the long-range planning committee, stakeholder engagement, and building condition survey:

    • Upgrade Library Media Centers and STEAM classrooms to support 21st Century Learning
    • Promote pride through improved brand identity and wayfinding
    • Improve outdoor spaces, playgrounds, athletics and physical education opportunities
    • Select upgrades to High School Performing Arts spaces
    • Upgrade facility HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and infrastructure for health and safety
