School board election

Interested in running for the school board?

The Board of Education will have three seats up for election this year. The three-year terms, currently held by Kate Czarnecki, David Gibbardo and Lori Stone, will begin on July 1, 2023, and end on June 30, 2026.

Candidates interested in running for the Spencerport Board of Education are asked to contact Marcy Clapper, the Spencerport Board Clerk, to obtain a packet of information, which includes all the petition requirements, deadlines, and material for Cornerstone, etc.

She may be reached by calling 349-5101 or picking one up at our District Office building, 71 Lyell Ave., Spencerport.

Board of Education candidates must submit their petitions, signed by at least 27 (2% of number of total voters in previous election) qualified school voters of the district, by Mon., April 17 at 5 p.m.

Board candidate seminar

If you want to learn more about being a board candidate, please consider attending a seminar sponsored by the Monroe County School Boards Association.

The seminar will be held on Saturday, Mar. 25, from 8 – 11:30 a.m. at the DoubleTree at Hilton Hotel Rochester. Details on the agenda, cost and course may be found on the MCSBA website at this link.
