2026 SCSD Budget Information

Welcome to the 2026-27 budget page for the Spencerport Central School District.

Our goal is to keep our community updated with clear and timely information, so please continue to check here for the latest developments. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, May 19 for the 2026 vote.

During its April 7 regular meeting, the Board of Education adopted the 2026–27 budget proposal that will go before voters on May 19. The spending plan reflects continued efforts to remain fiscally accountable to our taxpayers, while supporting strong academic programming for our students.

The final revenue projections are incomplete pending an adopted state budget; however, at this time, the ballot will include an expenditure plan with:

  1. Proposition 1 the budget, which totals $107,095,296 and represents a budget-to-budget increase of $4.58 million 
    • projects a 4.7% increase in the tax levy, which is below the maximum allowable levy limit (5%) with exclusions
       
  2. Proposition 2 requests voter authorization to use $536,620 from the 2013 Technology and Classroom Equipment Reserve to purchase student laptops
     
  3. Election of three Board of Education candidates

  • Candidates interested in running for the Spencerport Board of Education are asked to contact Marcy Clapper, the Spencerport District Clerk, to obtain a packet of information, which includes all the petition requirements, deadlines, and material for Cornerstone, etc.
  • She may be reached by calling 349-5101 or emailing mclapper@spencerportschools.org
  • Board of Education candidates must submit their petitions, signed by at least 25 qualified school voters of the district, by Mon., April 20 at 5 p.m.

The Board of Education will have three seats up for election this year. The three-year terms, currently held by David Gibbardo, Marsha Hinman and Lori Stone, will begin on July 1, 2026, and end on June 30, 2029.

The primary duties of the board are to develop the broader, long-range goals and policies which determine the basic framework for the educational programs, services and facilities to be offered to the youth of the community.
