School districts in
New York State regularly undergo capital improvement projects to make needed
repairs and alterations to existing facilities. Projects are primarily sourced
from a Building Condition Survey (BCS) which assesses the current conditions of
all occupied spaces plus major building and site systems and components. The
BCS is completed by a licensed architect or engineer and completed every five
years as required by the New York State Education Department.
