Updated August 2021 -  We are happy to share that the state is allowing in person driving again for this fall/winter 2021. Our new instructor, Mr. Tom Fasoldt comes to us with 20 years of experience and is a social studies teacher in the Greece School District.

Open to district residents only at this time. First priority will be given to our Seniors, then Juniors with a deadline for priority place on Sept. 2, 2021.

Driver Education approx.. 16 week course Sept. 13 through Jan. 14, 2022

Drive time once a week, Theory/Classroom training on Wednesdays after school.

Open to Spencerport School District Residents Only at this time.

Priority given to Seniors, then Juniors, then sophomores if spots are available.

You will choose drive time in order of online registration date and time at a mandatory meeting.

About the Driver Education program, it is a combination of 16 classroom and 16 road class sessions. Students who complete all the requirements of this course will receive a Student Certificate of Completion that gives the holder the privilege to receive a class D operator’s license at age of 17 allowing them to drive after 9 p.m.

A 10% discount on liability and collision insurance is available from most insurance companies.

The 5-hour pre-licensing class ($35 fee) and the loan of a text is included in the class fee.

Quick Facts:

  1. Instructor.. to be determined
  2. 3 sessions - Fall/Winter, Winter/Spring, and Summer
  3. 10 to 15% discount on your car insurance
  4. Students can drive after 9 p.m. when they turn 17 years old after completing the course.
  5. Students need to be 16 years old on the day of the first class.
  6. Open to all districts, however in district and Spencerport students have priority over non-residence students for fall winter and spring sessions.
