Attendance

The Spencerport Central School District is proud of the high attendance rate of our students. However, there are times when students must be absent for various reasons. Students must bring a note from a parent or person in parental relationship for all tardiness, absences or early dismissals.

Students in K-8 are not permitted to leave the school building during the day until a parent signs their child out of school with the attendance clerk. Students in grades 9-12 must sign out with the attendance clerk prior to leaving the school. Students who need to be excused during the day must bring a note from their parent or person in parental relationship and present the excuse to the attendance clerk or homeroom teacher. Seniors may earn the parental exit privilege (PEP).

For further information on attendance policy, truancy, tardiness, absenteeism and perfect attendance, please see the Comprehensive Attendance Policy.
